Newo is a non-profit organization rooted in Cree principles of Wahkohtowin and Weyotan, aiming to share abundance through harmonious relationships. Founded in 2012 by students and teachers from the Spirit of the Land program at the University of Alberta Augustana Campus, the company focuses on education, training, and fostering connections with First Nations leaders, farmers, scholars, energy-sector representatives, and ecologists.
